Wow! 100 years of Rotary in Greeley, Colorado! If you asked me just 2 months ago what Rotary is and where it came from, I’d have no clue.
Scroll thru your avg FB or twitter feed and what do you notice most? I notice a sea of videos and photos – the viral ones…the kind you seem to see EVERYBODY sharing or retweeting. They all have one thing in common – “shareability”.
Be Brilliant - Jean Hendry Promo from George Sickler on Vimeo.
That’s a serious question: are you? You could have the BEST product or the BEST service, but if you wear sweat pants and bed head you are ruining every sale you try to make. Maybe you do dress up, but the colors are all wrong for your skin color, the patterns make you look heavy, and your hair cut is outdated. If you want to be a good salesman, and make the sale you need to look the part! So, I ask again…do you?
This is where Jean comes in. Jean Hendry is a life coach and motivational speaker. Her purpose is to help you dress, style your hair, do your make-up, walk and talk as if you are the best in your field. You know you are! Jean just takes what you know about yourself and puts it on the outside so that others can see it, too.

Cold Calling. Just the phrase sends shivers down your spine, doesn’t it?
Back in my day (I’m about to reveal how ancient I am, now.), when we started our video business in 2000, for a small business the most popular methods for advertising were – mailers plus cold calling, emails plus cold calling, and trade shows plus cold calling. I did more cold calling than any other marketing activity, and it worked! I was using a list of known brides with upcoming weddings. They signed up with a magazine we advertised in or a bridal show we attended and I would use that list to email, mail, and make numerous phone calls. It was time consuming, but relatively cheap, and it yielded results! The cold calling effort was bringing in as much or more than a google search for our website which topped the google page for several years!
Whitney Freya Final from George Sickler on Vimeo.
We were recently hired to create promo videos for a women’s conference. Some of the presenters wanted their own promo video, as well. Whitney was one of those people.
When Whitney first took the stage, I could tell this would be an energetic promo. Full of movement and excitement in her voice, she captured the audience. They were enthralled!
The unique thing about Whitney is that she admitted that when she bought her first art studio, she wasn’t an artist, had never been to art school, had never really drawn anything…she just really felt like art was something she’d like to do! It was a pretty inspiring story of how you can reach your dreams as long as you never give up!
